In California, they would likely reissue the same license with the same expiration date (when your EAD expires).

I don't think this will happen. But just give him the damn wall in exchange for SOMETHING. It's a useless wall that won't hurt anyone. It's just a waste of money. Let him waste money in exchange for something good.
