Spoke to my USC GF about the potential cancellation of DACA and she says she wants to help me out.

I want to start reasearching how to do an AOS. I don't want to hire a lawyer if possible. Can someone list what forms I need to submit/what steps I need to take. Some background info, I am a Visa Overstay, my GF does not work at the moment, I do.

Bro, look back on the past 40 pages of this thread. A couple of people (BeeHive and at least one other person) took the time to provide a detailed list of the forms and evidence they submitted.

Don't let their work go to waste! Good luck.

I'm not sure if anything has changed though regarding notifications. My biometrics being scheduled still does not show up on myUSCIS Case Status. Also, my ELIS account has never shown my AOS application. I'm not sure if I need to "add" this case to ELIS, but I recall on my AOS application that it requested my ELIS account number (if applicable). Anyone else experience something similar?

Does waiting for an AOS interview give us legal presence similar to DACA? I always thought that was the case but want to hear from others.

My DACA is close to expiration, not sure if to renew it (if it even survives) or just wait for AOS interview. I was approved for AOS EAD but the card has not come (over 1 month waiting)

AOS gives an authorized stay while the application is pending. It is also renewable (for free) in 1 year increments as long as your application for permanent residence is pending.

It should not take that long to receive an EAD. You should immediately call USCIS or make an infopass appointment to take care of that. You local USCIS can give authorization paperwork if it has already been approved if I am not mistaken.

I just got the notifications that my AOS work permit has been mailed (PD was May 8 ). Hopefully it comes as a combo card with the advance parole. I'm not planning on using AP, but it'd be good to have in case of an emergency.

Congratulations Gordo. can you give su the timeline of you case so far? I am interested in how long it took for your EAD to be approved after your bios.
