I'm going balls out and not returning to the US with these rumors. I do wonder though if I will get the 10 year ban for not being allowed back with my AP

What would happen to our licences if were allowed to keep our work permits? just asking since the pdf didn't specify.

I didnt read the article but lets see

states can determine if they chose to give them to illegal aliens or not and most states give you one if you have a VALID EAD sooo I am assuming if DACA ends but your EAD is let to expire then your license will also expire the day your EAD does

This is what I was under the impression of but someone here a day or so ago said they sent in their license renewal and got a new one for five years. They claim they did it online, and said that the only time a reissued license has the expiration date of the EAD is if it's a 'lost' license, not renewal.

Not sure what to believe.

That is certainly not the case. DL only expires the date that is on it. It is not a document that goes hand to hand with an EAD. Every State has a law where they determine how many years they give in a Drivers License. I am lucky because in Connecticut your license is valid for 5 years from the date of issue regardless of the dates on the EAD. Other states make your Drives License valid only for the time that your EAD is valid. Read item 3 of the PDF article.

License will be valid until it expires on the card. My state coordinates my expiration date of my license to my EAD but if yours does then you will still be able to drive until your driver license expires.

Yes, I understand that in CA the licenses apparently match the EAD expiration date. I’m talking about this user who said they were able to renew their CA license online and they sent a new one for 5 years, not with their EAD expiration date.

See: http://dreamact.info/forum/showthrea...784#post627784

Or maybe I’m delirious from lack of sleep due to stress and are misunderstanding.
