I periodically check the statuses of the main bills that are listed on the sticky thread here and saw that on the Bridge Act, the most recent action on September 5th, 2017 was the motion filed by the house to discharge the committee the bill was referred to since January 2017.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this brings the bill to the floor for vote as he promised and gives the House more power over it and they can vote right away.

Here is the bill's actions tab:

https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-...t%22%5D%7D&r=1

Mods, this is a repost from the lounge. Couldn't wait for it to be moved. Feel free to like, delete the other one or move it or something.

Well, "motions" to move forward.

User JJ Glo mentioned it needs 218 signatures to be brought to the floor without committee consideration.

Forget the bridge act. We need a permanent resolution. If they do this it's just kicking the can down the road. Another 4 yrs of uncertainty

I'm happy as long as it is a law and not a memorandum. I'm happy with anything right now. I didn't have anything 5 years ago. I get what you're saying, but we really don't have choices at the moment. We get what we can.

Swim, can you please remove my other thread sweetcheeks? Thanks

Even if we get just the Bridge Act, the longer we are allowed to be in the US, the harder it will be for them to remove us or take away our status.

I'm happy with whatever I can get at the moment. I will be married eventually in life and I will adjust status with that so having the ability to work and live here legally for now satisfies me and if it becomes law, well great!
