you should be fine. just have all the evidence necessary, like everyone else. at first glance, i can see why that may look "suspicious," but after you saying you have a long-standing relationship with her - it is fine.

plus, every couple has things they want to "take care of" first for their own personal reasons. you becoming legalized can be one of those things so you can go on your honeymoon, help finance a place to live, and so on.

good luck!

During the medic exam do they check for drugs? I smoke a lot of weed.

It is not suspicious at all. I got my medical done just after as well. You will be fine!

Also, no, they do not check for that. However, if you smell of it during your interview....trouble!

Sounds good. The lawyer had told me they do blood tests but I was worried it would be in my system.

How long did it take you to get the package ready to mail?

No, waiting for interview date.

It took three to four months because of a busy schedule, new I-485 and medical. Still, I am glad I waited. It was properly filed and accepted.

Oh wow. My wife and I gather pretty much everything on the checklist that the lawyer gave us. Including a lease and loan on our names prior our marriage. We should be ready to submit everything next week.
