Got stats to back that up? I know tons of people that came to the US through DV and now own small businesses, worked their way through community college, then to a decent job, and even people that became doctors. This is the same argument the Right make against DACA holders (most of them have no college degree, bad jobs, don't contribute). You realize that many countries have no means other than DV to get a chance to come to the US right? Unless they replace that system with something that still allows people from those countries to enter then this is a bad deal.

We are held to a much higher standard than the folks for the diversity visa. I personally know people through that Visa who cannot even speak english. They are simply getting visas cuz they are from a smaller country and that is not well represented in the US.

Same could be said for many Central/South Americans and current DACA holders that have committed crimes after getting their status. Are you saying the 0.01% of Central/South Americans that are criminals should warrant all visas from those countries to end? Seems like a classic case of 'got mine fuck you'.

Dreamers grew up here as Americans.

We speak Native American English.

We dont know any other homeland.

Of course, you cant see these glaring differences.

You dont have daca.

1) I haven't got mine
2) You are saying DACA holders cannot speak english and have a tough time adjusting in the American society? If so, they should not have DACA. DACA is for "Kids who are American in all ways other than a piece of paper".
3) Merit based immigration where they have a clear capacity to add to the economy makes more sense to me than Diversity Visa.

For once, i am with Trump... Sue me!

Nobody has inherent right to immigrate to any other country.

People of that country decide who to let in.

I dont have the right to sleep in your bed with your wife. As you dont in mine.

Cool, why not apply the same merit standards to current DACA holders too? Let's just keep the ~100K with nice STEM/MBA/Law/MD degrees, and dump the rest. I doubt some psych or English major will be 'contributing' to the economy anytime soon. Hell, I probably pay more in taxes than they make in a year.

There is no such thing as criminal daca.

If you commit crime, you are no longer on daca.

End of story.

DACAs are WAY MORE qualified and deserving than DVs.

Some Dreamers do know their homeland and some of them have been there since they were 15. "Native American English." No such thing, I'm Native American myself.
