It won't, Durbin and Harris won't give any consideration to raise act, They will offer a whole lot of border enforcement but not that nonsense.

Pretty much this. There's a whole lot of other people outside of us for whom it is completely unacceptable. Want to sponsor your parents one day? Want to sponsor a sibling? Have a relative waiting on an F1, F2B, F3, or F4 petition to become current?

If the answer to any of those is yes, then Raise Act should not be acceptable for you, it's the fucking pinnacle of anti-immigrant bullshit that they can demand now. First goes DV, then the above family categories, then go the less skilled employment categories (EB3), then go the investors (EB5), then go the more skilled employment categories (EB2 and EB4), then go all the other family categories (IR and F2A), then goes sponsorship for the best and brightest (EB1), and then they can start on getting rid of asylum, any discretionary relief (COR, CAT, S,T, and U visas), then they can go after anyone that hasn't naturalized already, and then they'll try to pull some shit that unless you can trace your relatives all the way to the mayflower you're getting the boot.

Negotiating with someone that does it in bad faith only dilutes what you get. Grassley won't vote for Dream Act even if you gave him every single item on his agenda, neither will assholes like Cornyn. The people that should be targeted here are moderates that will support Dream Act with border security (and not redefining the entire system to make it worse), and possibly Trump after crashing a car into the cable pole outside the white house so the talking heads on Fox can't yell at him for committing the deadly sin of being a republican which is working with democrats.
