Who else?
I haven't heard much about Dems not wanting to shut down. Why are you guys freaking out? Seems like the consensus is still to shut down. Stop expecting the worst case scenario. Keep faith god damn it.

GOP seems to be giving Dems everything but the DACA so it is understandable people are freaking out that Dems will accept the deal.

P.S. -Welcome fellow brown man/woman.

Yeah I can understand that but it seems like DACA is their most important issue and I haven't heard anyone saying that they're going to budge. Idk if it's because I don't want to face reality but I'd like to keep thinking that the democrats will shut down for us. It also makes the republicans look bad too which is a win for the Dems.

I think many people are only focusing on Democrats having leverage and completely dismissing that the Dream Act seems to have the votes to pass in both chambers. The senate being a little tougher but not impossible without some compromise.

If Dems get rest of their demands they may understandably cave. I think the meeting with Trump today will be telling. I will not be surprised if this is pushed to Dec 22nd at the minimum.

Don't put all your hopes into Dems shutting down the government for DA. Pelosi nor Schumer have ever stated they would shut it down. If they get everything they're asking for, except DA, I believe they will cave and say that they will get it done early next year.

Is it being pushed to Dec 22 necessarily a bad thing?

No it's not a bad thing. It will just put more people at ease if it happens earlier.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) says they are making “good progress” on a budget deal. But says that progres is “in stark contrast” to what he’s hearing from the White House regarding a possible government shutdown down the road.

Don't know what to make of that honestly.
