I still think the real battle will be in the house. Pelosi proved it when she didn’t even pass a 2 week CR without DA included.
I hope you're right. Ironically, it'd be those right-wing ideologues in the Freedom caucus with their irrational demands that may end up legalizing us. They'll most likely have some crazy fu**ing demands and will force ryan to go to Pelosi. Pelosi did a good job today keeping dems together and needs to show leadership since she is probably positioning herself for speaker with mid-terms coming up.

It takes weeks to do this, weeks to do that. I would get a week to write a 20 page essay and the deadline was never extended... I honestly don't know what they do all year.

Looks good to me !
Please everyone.. I know everyone is having hard time waiting and waiting and waiting..
I've always been in this website just eye chatting and reading positive comments, especially the person who has Golden State Warrior profile. Please can we just think positive and wait for 12/8 or 12/22 and find out? They are fighting really hard for us and if they weren't we wouldn't even be discussing about this right now. Let's stay positive and wait.. we will get there.. God is with us..
Thank you.

People are all over the place on this forum. Some are okay with Bridge while others are against RACA+Raise+Border Security.

Raise act will never happen, even if we are all deported. Some Republicans and trump need to give that shit up

I mean obviously I'd love a GC and path to citizenship also counting our years with active DACA for the process, but I know that won't happen. I was hoping something would happen in December so I can do my plans..

So I meant rather than nothing (which seems where we are headed) I'd rather get bridge act and get it done with.

Also forum mods we should have a sticky with most articles and the possible outcomes or what to expect.

Speak for your self. I don't see a big deal with it.

My reasoning:

Sooo, if we don’t get anything passed, undocumented members of our families will still remain undocumented. Where is the logic in that? And even if DA or RACA were to pass, we won’t be citizens for the next 15+ years. You think our undocumented families can wait that long? If you don’t like it, get married to a USC or ask family members to do so but people like you and your idealistic mindset is doing more harm than good.

You don't realize the optics of doing this? RAISE Act cuts legal immigration in half. This plays right into the frame of "Undocumented immigrants 'jumping' in front of the line while legal immigrants get screwed."

The Raise act is a joke. Slashing immigration in half is something business Republican's would never do. I guarantee you the Gop wouldn't even be able to get 51 votes, let alone 60 on it. It makes me angry that people like Tom Cotton have injected themselves into the Daca talks. Everyone knows he has no intention of voting for any legislative solution.
