Now that we know nothing is happening this week, let’s get off the roller coaster, enjoy our holidays, and reconvene in January. It’s beyond our hands anyway.

Schumer on avoiding gov't shutdown w/GOPers on CSR's: A good faith effort would entail them talking to Patty Murray and talking to us. They are not. A good faith effort would not be laying down a marker that it must have the Hyde Amendment in it, that’ll kill it altogether.

This.

Guys, you cannot be complacent and shift your hope to fucking January. The GOP did not promise us relief, so it does not owe us any fucking relief. Let me remind you that we based all of our hope on the Democrats' leverage.

You cannot accept that kicking the can down the road is ok. I don't trust McConnell. I think the GOP is trying to make the Democrats lose their leverage. If the Dems are not willing at the very least to threaten with a government shutdown, what makes all of you think the Democrats will be willing to shut the government down on the 19th if the GOP once again decides it needs more time to find a fix to a solution?
