'Succeed' and Bridgeshit are 2nd class scams meant as riders for all the CIR enforcement Republicans want.

Nope. If they want border wall, DV canceled, etc, only Dream Act is the trade off. Dream Act in exchange for the above.

I dont see anything wrong with that. You lose your Conditional Residency by committing multiple misdemeanors or a felony and your ass should be on the first ticket out of here. We aren't citizens, we should be treading lightly and not be fucking up at all.

Well I do. It is very dangerous to give up your right to due process. There can be stricter consequences to breaking the law as a non citizen with due process.

nope, thats not what the SUCCEED act proposes.

the SUCCEED ACT strips u of your due process rights, if you make a misrepresentation on your application like messed up on an address, wrong document sent, sent the wrong amount of $$$ application fees, etc. its just not misdemeanors, DUIS, or felonies.

you cannot appeal the decision and you are put back to removal proceedings right away.

we are still given due process rights as DACA recps and cant be deported on the spot. w/ the SUCCEED ACT you lose all of those rights.

I should have elaborated, but life got in the way. This is what I meant. I wasn't talking about criminal activity

edit: I take it back. What if you're wrongfully accused of domestic assault or something during conditional residency? And how does the Succeed Act affect people like Erika Andiola who voluntarily went to jail to advance the cause?

I qualify for both succeed act and dream act so hopefully that passes. I think the final bill would be dream act with some more stringent requirements on education from the succeed act and possibly a longer waiting time for citizenship.

Anyone who qualified for DACA would qualify for both, right?

So my question is, at the risk of sounding stupid and naive...... if you marry a citizen during the time you're protected under SUCCEED ACT, would you be able to just switch and fix your status via marriage? Anything can happen in 5 to 10 years, but if the protections only go up to 5 years before you need to renew..... I'm really concerned about this bill. It sounds better than RACA, and for now it doesn't seem bad...... but this bill is NOT going to let me help my parents at all. And that's just not fair to them.

From a summary of SUCCEED Act from NILC: Must agree to give up the opportunity to apply for almost all other forms of immigration relief if they violate any term of their status. I'm not sure if that includes fixing via marriage.

Here's a side by side comparison of all the bills out so far. RACA is a more liberal bill than SUCCEED:
