Yes, But I don't think math adds up in this article.... Title of the artcile says $18B, but in the article they say...

In total, the administration details about $33 billion in desired new border-security spending, including funding for technology, personnel and roads. The document refers to this as “critical physical border security requirements.”

Give them the wall, I'll go build it myself. It won't do anything

I'd be happy with paying $5k-10 (even more if need be, but some struggled to pay $495 every two years so I can see why more would be too much to ask for). That would equal $5-10B we would cover for the wall.

That said, Republicans are asking for 33B for wall/border security, end of chain migration, end of DV, and implementation of e-verify.

It's looking bleak, but there's still a glimmer of hope I think.

Charge us all $15k, $20k. We'll pay for the wall. The life-long benefits we'll receive from having a green card – especially mentally, being freed from the anguish of not ever having a permanent status before – is priceless.

Just make it a budget for current fencing maintenance and future enforcement and call it "WALL".

Just watch as the Democrats cry foul over its cost. The same party that added trillions to the national debt will suddenly turn into fiscal hawks...so the game continues.

18 B is for the wall only. 33 B includes additional border security funding. Also, this is a great deal, Dems should take it. Only 1.8B per year and when they gain the majority they can just not pay for it.
