Yeah, the timing is worrisome. I fear Republicans will pass something in one chamber in the middle of next week, and they will 'promise' to pass the bill in the other chamber the week after. Meanwhile, Democrats lose whatever leverage they had after Jan. 19 as they will pass a spending bill that goes along with what Republicans want.

Well they might do another CR until February to give more time but there’s no reason it can’t be done before then. By March they’ll lose leverage because the debt ceiling also has to be raised
