Main issue is they can't say they got the wall. Trump doesn't care about the deal, he just wants to tell his base "WE ARE GOING TO BUILD A WALL". That's it.

Y’all really out here thinking Trump and the GOP will pass anything reasonable lmaooooo

If democrats don’t shut it down, the GOP will keep rejecting proposals.

They want to protect us to fuck over every other immigrant. Trump is in on this as well.

- more monies for border sec "physical and virtual wall"
- cover only daca beneficiaries for phase 1
- maybe work around chain migration to phase 2.
- allocate lottery to TPS people

I really hope this senate working group goes back and sweetens the offer for Trump to sign up on. They CANNOT afford to lose the ability to dictate offer to the other working group made up of Cornyn and McCarthy...

If the GOP expects more $$$$ for wall it better cover more than DACA beneficiaries.

Some of you folks are making a big deal out of this, there is still a full week left for negotiation. There is nothing they can agree on before the end of it. Dems are sort of backing themselves in a corner right now if you ask me because it's either they give more funding to the wall or shutdown the government. And if they have the balls to shutdown the government the Republicans will be at the fault. Let's see who blinks first.

A week is not enough at all, tbh. It still needs to be brought up for a vote in BOTH chambers...before January 19th. Anything after that, then we lose all leverage and will need to prepare to be pounded by the Repubs.
