Undocumented immigrants who arrived as children (all, Daca or not) are responsible for gvnmtn mismanagement??

There is a possibility that the house comes into play. Either way, a shutdown is the only way we are getting a DACA deal. Chain migration is not happening for a DACA bill.

Although I agree we need a shutdown in order to get a deal done. It’s just not going to happen. The House is not going to come into play. Ryan has the votes to pass short term spending bill even without any Democratic votes and the Freedom Caucus has been on board with it the last 2 times. Our only hope is the Senate. But Chuck is not willing to risk it and neither are the 20+ Democratic senators up for re-election in 2018.

This time they can't do a fully clean 'CR' because CAP spending must be added.

If I recall correctly, freedom caucus only wants military spending is increase and is against any domestic spending increase which would be DOA in the senate. If DACA doesn't pass Chuck and some of the senators are kind of fucked as well with progressives.

I have read that prominent GOP members are willing to put the spending CAPS on hold until March. Yes it might affect the military but as long as there is no immigration amendments to it they’ll be on board.

I was basing this on the following:

Complicating this legislative discussion is the fact that Congress won’t actually be putting forth a “clean” CR. Sequestration ― the automatic spending cuts that were set in 2011 ― is set to trigger on Jan. 21 absent a deal raising spending caps. When HuffPost asked House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) whether conservatives would support raising the caps temporarily in a CR, Meadows said he’d favor suspending sequestration for only defense. “I don’t know that there is an appetite to increase caps without a better understanding of where our appropriations efforts are headed,” he said.

Wouldn't something need to done since automatic spending cuts will be triggered Jan. 21st?

So do you really think will have enough Democrats willing to shut down the government and denying troops a pay raise over DACA?
