This. Durbin is the only one who is selflessly working for us.

You guys dont remember what Democrats tried to attach to the DACA bill? TPS, A laughable small funding for Trumps wall, and relief for our parents, of course Trump would have rejected that deal especially with Cotton at his side, We know this and were not even congressmen.

Leaking the shithole comments to top it off put the nail in the coffin for DACA. I admire Durbin for speaking out on his remarks, but come on. Not when 800k lives are at risk of being deported.

It reminds me of the whole James Comey letter to congress regarding Hillary's emails days before the election.

They did not attach a TPS bill to the DACA bill. It was taking 25,000 of the allocated 50,000 visas for DV Lotter and giving them to TPS. That was all. Nohing more. How is that unreasonable?

Either way, Durbin shouldve just stuck to DACA, and given more funding for Trumps damn wall. Dems are in no position to be choosers right now with a Republican majority.

I still think the compromise would have been struck down even without TPS. Cotton & Purdue were there for one thing only - derail the compromise. The only bill those two would agree would be one that would never have bipartisan support.

The "and is hurting our military" part just reinforces my belief that they only want us for when war inevitably breaks out. We're just bodies that they pay attention to now that they have some use for us.

Senator Durbin is our hero and will always be our hero......what I'm afraid is and I hope I'm wrong....In future unless President Trump and Senator Durbin don't resolve their animosity between each other which is created now because of this TPS issue I feel President Trump will not work nor would like to see him involve in any future DACA talks....again I hope I'm wrong.
