So far they need 9 democrats to keep the government open right? Durbin sounded pretty confident yesterday that republicans would not have all 9 votes. Let's hope he is right.

Yeah they just need 9. Last year 18 Democrats voted for it, this time there are 12 Democrats are undecided so far with 2 Republicans at Nay. Most likely McCain won’t make tomorrow’s vote so that’s 3 Nay, if we get Flake on board that’s 4 Republican Nay. We subtract 4 Republicans from 12 Democrats that’s 8 votes and 1 short of the 9 vote goal. Let’s hope we get more people on board though.

McCain being out makes it required 59 votes doesn't it? He's not an automatic NO.
