My only fear is that Republicans are dumb and stubborn enough not to fold, ever. Also, I don’t know if I trust Shriner really did offer the wall. Maybe this is just more posturing from both sides. We’ll see.

@eschor
Corker on the Senate floor near-deal earlier tonight: “On the Democratic side there were concerns about, after a date was getting pretty much agreed to - would the immigration bill be attached to something that was must-pass?”

Coons on the almost-agreement: “Paul Ryan basically said ‘you can’t bind me’ with what comes out of [the Senate]. And it turned into a very difficult conversation about exactly how do we commit to take up and debate and vote on a bipartisan immigration bill...”

Where’s Barack Obama when you need him? He should come out and criticize the GOP and Trump.

He’s gonna stay away from this with a ten foot pole. Democrats will need Obama campaigning this year, the more his name stays out of the mouths of Trump and GOPers, the better.

I’ve been seeing a lot of backlash for Democrats for trying to protect us “illegals” over the military and their families. They’re really making trump a martyr.

I don't know what his problem is. When he was DHS Secretary he was all - blah, blah, blah - daca unconstitutional - blah, blah, blah - rule of law - blah, blah, blah, Congress must act.

Then when Congress does try to come to an agreement, and he is in a position to facilliate it, he keeps getting in the way.

Damn, what happened to Kelly? He was trying to help Dreamers in the beginning or was that all talk?

Most backlash is on Trump tho for not making deals happen.
