I thought I was the only one feeling this way. I've noticed lately as well that CNN has been using all these unfavorable polls against us. I also didn't like how Anderson Cooper and Erin Burnett kept telling Democratic Senators during their interviewing that DACA didn't expired until March so why punish the American people.

It's like these idiots call themselves journalist but don't even bother to do their homework and understand why there is a shutdown. And that's because Republicans do not want to compromise and even though March may be the deadline, people are still expiring and some are even getting arrested by ICE even with a DACA protection.

Ok so the shit down we’ve all been waiting for is here.

Trump said he’s not negotiating on these terms.
Do you all really think voters, even democrats, are going to put a few hundred thousand immigrants over the military? Come on.

The white house is already negotiating. Who cares what voters think. The shutdown happened and everyone knows you need to include a dreamer bill to get it opened again or atleast get some pretty strong promises to seriously negotiate a bill.

It's not only about DACA, it's about CHIP, and spending levels too.

Plus, the voters are a stupid and fickle bunch, they won't even remember this by the summer.

A Democrat proposed that they pass something that will fund the military during the shutdown and McConnnel didn't allow it.

People must have been giving shit to CNN. What used to read "Dems 2018 advantage narrows" now reads "Dems have significant lead in voter enthusiasm".

As a friend said not too long ago, there is a big difference between being neutral and being objective - and when you're presented with a presidency like Trump's, neutrality and objectivity are mutually exclusive.
