Under Goodlatte, the process might include an interview. Driving up the cost. Plus you have to pay a $1,000 fine border security (think it was if you travel internationally) to help pay for the wall. The article stated the cost would be up close to 560%.
Does this bill lead to PR and travel?

O wow, an interview? You know that whoever "fails" the interview will be put in ICE custody right then and there.

I'm going to go with #2 on one of those 3 options. There is no way in my opinion a bill doesn't come out of this because the issue has never been this upfront in the news. Whenever things get this popular, majority of the population with a brain research this and decide for themselves what they support. We have a lot of support for this to not result in something good. So I definitely believe a bill will come from this, just not what everyone is expecting which is straight pathway to citizenship. I think it will definitely give us permanent DACA though because the country has learned how important the beneficiaries are to the economy.

It's DOA and they know it. Most of the GOP doesn't want to help us. I think the DEMs need to start calling that bill what it is - reducing the amount of brown people from entering the country. Also this will end up hurting the Economy.

I’m afraid we are just going to have to accept a VERY CONSERVATIVE bill. I have no doubt it will include legalization for us but in return we should prepare to give EVERYTHING. From the past few weeks though I do see Trump Admin planting seeds for broader CIR tbh with y’all. Let’s be positive. WH did thank Dems for “funding our military again.” The days of “Clean DA” are gone, in fact they were gone the day Trump was elected. Some people just refuse to accept it.

We are better off till democrats take over the house and senate to get a better deal, maybe 2020? For now i feel that We could go for a conservative CIR, but it might be dead on arrival. Maybe a war with N korea will be enough excuse to not even talk about DACA. Dream act should have been passed a long time ago when democrats had majority of seats

You know what worries me that Trump will direct ICE to start deporting DREAMers starting March 5th if the DEMs don't give in to their racist demands:

@JuddLegum
This didn't get much attention but was maybe the most important thing I heard today.

The White House says it might start deporting DREAMers on March 5

I do believe the optics would be too terrible even for the GOP, but Trump seems to get away with everything (so who knows).
