we are headed down a scenario where something adhering to stuff in the proposal passes in the house and fails in the senate because of opposition from dems. i don't want to believe they'd be so stupid to obstruct a bill once we come come to that stage, but im positive they'll try their best to spin it as something they had no choice but to do.
Oh no, you're not partisan at all.

Dude, why are you defending Dems so much. We'd probably be discussing a liberal bipartisan framework had they held the line. That was their golden ticket to dictate the terms of the agreement, and they blew it.

I think even the major pro-immigrant organizations, such UWD, are disappointed. Even the most liberal activists, such as Erik Andiola, are pissed off.

As he should be worried, and I want his ass included as much as he talks shit to me.

Here is the point: instead of rejecting shit altogether, Democrats should engage Trump, negotiate on that framework, and try to include aged out dreamers instead of engaging in a divisive twitter war with the prick. That's all I am saying. That's what pissed me off about SChumer's and Pelosi's response. They rejected the framework altogether without even trying to negotiate with the fucker on it.

Before I answer that, let's stick with the topic at hand - Trump's proposals. I think it only helps DACA recipients and it not only doesn't help anyone else, it goes out of its way to hurt and devastate them so the Democrats are right to oppose it, if they do.

And again, our choice here is binary because it's a two party system. The only party who has helped immigrants in any way or stood up for them have been Democrats while it's the Republicans who have consistently called for reduction of legal immigration and to make life tougher for undocumented. Who passed the RealID? it was the Republicans. Who sued Obama to stop DAPA/Expanded DACA? Republicans. Who continues to pass "show me your paper" laws? Republicans.

Yeah, the Democrats could have done more at times but name one time in recent history they went out of their way to pass anti-immigration laws. I'll wait. The only thing I can think of is the 1995 laws passed but that was 21 years ago under a different climate.

Both parties are shit. End of story. One continues to come after you; the other just gives you lip service about helping but really doesn't do shit when it really needs to.

Instead of rejecting the framework altogether, Dems should at least try to engage the prick and gets things they want. After all, the only way to get shit done is by compromising, and rejecting the framework altogether via twitter without even trying to negotiate won't help anyone.

Every time the drmocrats have sat down with Trump to compromise, the next day Trump backtracks on the progress that was made so that makes this all more difficult. We will see what happens.

Again, it won't help if Democrats do the same divisive shit he has done right now, especially when the fucker is seemingly trying to negotiate.

But hey, I guess we can go back and forth via twitter without ever trying to negotiate. That will get us very far.
