At least that’s how I took it. People have to remember that before us the “Dreamers”, there was the people that were the original “Dreamers”. The people that were looking for the “American Dream” that migrated here before us.

Also this doesn’t surprise me coming from them. Not to try to start a race war, but a lot of the African Community also gave Chamillionaire a hard time for helping out a Mexican family who’s dad was being deported after being in the country for many years. According to them black people should only be helping black people...

This whole thread is unfortunate, I hope in the future when posting things like this you consider the source and title it accordingly. Promoting something from Tariq is like posting a Britbart article. For those who are unaware he is a hotep that constantly degrades black women and the lgbtq community and blames them for the state of black America.

As far as Camilla her comments were not taking out of context, she talked about being from Cuba and invoked dreamers in the same sense anyone does these days when speaking of immigration. She was the wrong person to give this speech as she has expressed racist sentiments before including referring to her bandmates by the n word. I don't expect anyone to know this, I just found out myself when the backlash occurred. Racism and colorism exists even in marginal immigrant communities. I've seen it on here many times and in real life and its sad and disgusting.

Finally, please stop being hyperbolic, the opinions of some do not speak on a community as a whole. Using your example Chamillionaire is African American and reached out to help a family and I applaud him as many in the African American community have. Focusing on the minority of people, claiming its a lot? Maybe you should ask yourself why your thoughts went there to begin with. Maybe you have a problem with "them".

I hope in the future when reading an article you actually READ on who posted the ARTICLE. As far as Camilla goes, she said what she needed to say, people need to stop being sensitive and stop taking her comment out of context, let’s not try to make something is NOT! Geez! She made one comment and all of a sudden snow flakes popping out everywhere!

Secondly I never said he entire black community speaks for everyone, so where did you get that? Stop trying to make something is not, you’re no victim, no one is!

I'm aware of who wrote the thread, I can read. I am absolutely sensitive to the things that affect me and the communities that I am part of as well as those that affect people as a whole. That does not make me "snowflake" it makes me a connected human being. If people weren't sensitive to the plights of others and speak up Daca and many other programs would not exist. So save your dude bro word of the week for those of your kind who think those things are suppose to somehow hurt.

You said A LOT of black people and referred to black people as "them" and I pointed out that some does not equal a lot or even the majority.

I'm sure you turning valid critiques of your comments into an argument over semantics and some type of self victimization works sometimes but this isn't one of those cases. These tactics aren't new dear, they're old and tired. Do better or at least be entertaining.

If a Grammy comment that wasn’t meant to insult anyone hurt you’re feelings then I advice you to simply stay away from TV or the internet. It’s a harsh world out there!

I wouldn’t want to respond to this in an obscene way. Not in your state of mind since everything offends you, so I will just let you get back into your safe space now.

Camila’s n word was harmless. She didn’t maliciously call anyone a n*gg*r. She was texting and said “ma nigga” in a friendly way. But she was a naive teen back then and has learned not to say that even joking.

Unfortunately SJW Twitter doesn’t believe in 2nd chances.
