Sure, right after Trump won there was some uncertainty but DACA was valid until September - 9 months after he was in office. These people couldn't apply in 9 months - I don't buy it! GTFOH

For reals though, I understand the older and younger ones who were not eligible to apply simply due to their age but met all the other requirements but someone who was eligible on all fronts and was sitting on the sidelines for the last 6 years clearly does not need DACA and can survive just fine without any relief!

You don't get rewards without risks!

I don't have to do anything... if a resolution passes that only covers DACA folks, they already did it to themselves - LOL

I was never scared of giving away my information to apply for daca because I had applied for tps long before daca even existed. If they really wanted to deport me, they would've done it a long time ago. People shouldn't have been scared to apply for daca for that reason and shouldn't be scared that immigration will be after them once their daca expires.

Unfortunately, that is how I interpreted this as well. I do not like that he said this.

Although the man is a snake, he does have a point. You have to remember that DACA was around for literally 5 years. 5 years (hell, 1 year) is more than enough to gather evidence, gather $500, do research, or get a GED if that is the problem. One might argue that ignorance, not speaking English, or lack of family support (very rare case) were reasons, but if legislation were to pass, they still wouldn't apply for GCs because of these reasons.

It would've been more fair for them to include older Dreamers born before June 1981, they "deserve" it way more.

Google vs 2 non profits that told me not to apply yet and "wait and see what Trump does". By the time I turned 18 and was graduating high school that was what everyone was saying. I dare you to look at any article that predates Trump ending daca and that was the general consensus.
