In the 90's Dems were basically full on anti-immigrant, wasn't it Bill Clinton that established the 10-year ban?

Every once in a while, the policies flip with the Democrats and Republicans.... Im pretty sure a while ago, the Republicans were for the current policies that they now are against and the same for the Democrats.

Another example of how politics is all on lobbyists and those who will pay the politicians the most money.

Video about a guy exposing Schumer's flip flop. I'm all for not biting the hands that feed you, but after dealing with all these politicians on the field and then through looking at their actions on the news, I cannot fucking sit here and say the Democratic party is 100% on our side. Some of those fuckers only "support" us because it's a great thing politically. They know that us Dreamers hold a high public opinion, but something unique to this group is the fact that many of us have become hardcore activist and we're young people. DC is fucking loaded with people my age (young 20's). I went there once and I was in fucking awe at how many people were there. Anyways, politicians would love to have those very same young activist supporting/campaigning for them. To gain the employment of Dreamers, they must help us, and they view it as a fair trade. That's why I believe nothing will happen to us. We're an untapped resource dickheads want to use.

We needed 5 out of the 6 democrats to vote for cloture back in 2010, but Manchin chickened out and did not vote; and Tester voted No. The other 4 are no longer in the Senate. Therefore, Trump is correct when he says that they could have fixed it... Why couldn't Durbin whip the votes back then? It is all empty talk right now. Democrats have already lost the leverage by not forcing to attach it to the spending nill. They need to accept whatever comes with path to citizenship for us; and if they do not, then they are truly using us... But we already knew that! Didn't we?

I would not be suprised if Cryin' Chuck reaches a deal with the Freedom Caucus to give us temporary relief in exchange for border wall funding so the DEMS can keep immigration as an issue for 2018 and 2020.

Bottom line was that plenty of Dems were responsible for sinking the dream act in both 2007 and 2010.

A total of 11 republicans voted in the house and senate for the dream act but its actually the dems fault since they can't get 100% of the votes
