But he is saying the true , most DACA recipients once they got their permit , they went back to sleep and never again tried to protest for a reform for their parents or the people who were left out . Now that we are being threatened again , we suddenly became very active but only for ourselves ofc. SMH

Sure we have the spotlight, but it's not like we are getting relief right now? If anything, we are living with even more uncertainty if that's even possible.

These people act like if we’re in Congress or something, we can’t sit here and be picky and ask for something we have no leverage on, we can take what we can take. I’m sure if they were in our position they would do the same. I understand they’re frustrations, but we don’t control Congress and we don’t control the White House. We can’t just stop living our life’s!

It's impossible to include everyone, there will always be people who get left out. By the time dream act comes up for a vote next time, I will probably be older than 30 and there is no guarantee that I will be included in the next bill.

If that guy promises to pay my bills and add a grand to my savings account a month then I'll turn in my DACA and with it a letter that says "No DACA for me till there is DACA for all" I'll even put a smiley face on it =)

"I'm very bitter. These DACA kids definitely have this sense of entitlement," Paredes said. "People fought for them and they got DACA and they got their work permit and then they went to sleep, instead of working to fight for the rest of us."
Well this guys isn't wrong. Most of us ignored the immigration debate (myself included) and we'll probably do the same if we get thrown a life line and Congress manages to pass something.

And let's not pretend that "we have to take of ourselves so we can save the rest" is genuine. Ask most DACA recipients what the bare minimum they would take from the DACA debate and most say at least a work permit with the ability to travel. Travel for family emergencies, education, or business? Nah, we wan't to go take selfies at some tourist destination somewhere.

It's human nature, and like I said I've done and thought the same, but it's still a shitty feeling when you realize that you never put up a fight.

Why is the fate of all immigrants on us? I never understood that one. I feel bad for the guy, but instead of blaming us he should go protest and advocate for his own category. It’s stupid to waste energy fighting us.
