They can also use us for political gain with elections coming up.

Congress works best under pressure. There were a few of you guys saying that they will do something last minute well the last minute has been moved from march 5th to maybe june/november.

The circuit courts cannot force a discretionary policy on the president. He can publish in the federal register and he can rescind it.

Remember, Sessions said he would not defend it. And all mainstream liberal lawyers said it is not likely to survive.

We need a permanent solution. This just leaves everyone in limbo again, plus we have a lot of retiring supporters in Congress this year.

It should also worry everyone that Trump and his gestapo will go after undocumented people with even more draconian measures and attack more aggressively our community.

I remember when people on here flipping out and what a stupid move this was when they sued. They just bought a lot of you guys some more time.

The case at the Supreme Court was brought in California by five sets of plaintiffs. They included four states — California, Maine, Maryland and Minnesota — and Janet Napolitano, the president of the University of California. As secretary of homeland security in the Obama administration, Ms. Napolitano signed the document that established the program in 2012.
The wh really loves us!

In*the administration’s brief, Solicitor General Noel J. Francisco told the justices that “an ongoing violation of federal law being committed by some 700,000 aliens” required the Supreme Court to act. But he did not ask the court to stay Judge Alsup’s injunction while the case moved forward. Mr. Francisco wrote that an immediate stay would interfere with the administration’s goal of an “orderly wind-down” of the program.

This is what will be the test of their integrity. They should not use this as an excuse for inaction when we still have momentum. In fact, Trump will use this as an excuse to take action himself against Dreamers (through Sessions, Paxton, or DHS), and campaign on it. I just have a bad feeling about retaliation.

Yes they can, and they have done this very often in the past.

Even the District Courts have this power.
