They could have done this in September. And the shutdown was not only about Dreamers. It was one day (weekends do not count as fed agencies close).

People do not have until the next election because they are currently at risk. Pelosi went on record to say that immigration reform can always pass in some form in the future. The future is now. I'm sorry, but there are no excuses. When people need help, you give it right when they need it.
What has changed since the last time they voted for the 4 or 5 bills that all got rejected?

The court objected to the way (no notice and comment period) he stopped the program. He has full authority to rescind Daca, write a new order and implement it.

What is the Democrats' plan if he does rescind it tomorrow by publishing in the register? No word or action on how to protect and move forward. That is very worrying.

Because he wants to end legal chain immigration, put up a wall, and put up more patrol. This is what he promised on his campaign.

Because he wants all the credit. Now that democrats dont show any interest in the issue because donald trump is always moving the goalpost and it is a waste of time to negotiate with him.
Now he will come to the middle and look like the savior for the dreamers.
