All partisanship aside (since most of you are divided as the country is), I think if 5 more GOP Reps sign on, all Dems will come on board and we will have the debate we all deserve.

Waiting till the Courts rule on this is ridiculous. This is why Ryan should have resigned a long time ago.

Congress needs to step its pussy up. Enough with the talk.

Good for those moderate Republicans. Whether they are doing it for political reasons or honestly caring about us is irrelevant. At least they are trying

of course not, they need to work together to find a middle ground instead of it being "my way or no way".
DREAM act for border security isn't a middle ground, just look at how many people voted against that.
there needs to be something between the USA act and grassley's bill that can swing over more R's.
I'm not saying that they shouldn't work towards middle ground. I believe some in the GOP purposely put certain requirements (pillars) knowing that it was unlikely an agreement between GOPs & DEMs would occur at this moment in time. Just look at how little time McConnell allowed it to be discussed in the Senate, and Ryan won't even bring any type of bill up in the House. It was meant to derail talks and progress. And it worked.

Border Security/Border Wall for DREAM Act is a middle ground and a decent deal. Democrats get DREAM Act. Trump gets his wall. It's a win-win.

And TPS wouldn't have been a factor if Trump didn't create a crisis of his very own making by forcing documented immigrants into the shadows by taking away TPS.

Both sides don't want to concede much on DACA right now since there isn't the urgency. The question is whether Trump is willing to wait to make Democrats cave in to his 4-pillar approach. Expect this if he gets re-elected.

I doubt a blue congressional wave will make Trump cave

You'd be surprised how many TPS recipients don't give a shit about us and actually feel they deserve relief more than any of us.

Some of the ones I have talked to actually say we don't deserve shit.

The generic congressional polls are even now. There is not going to be a blue wave... Dems better start negotiating.

That's on them. I still empathize with their situation. Many of them have mixed status families and the fear of being torn apart is something I believe we can all understand. I'm sure there are TPS holders that feel they are more deserving of legal status than us. I've never met a TPS recipient to my knowledge, so I can't go by any personal experiences.
