Republicans only want to vote because voting on these doomed bills woul KILL the discharge petition. They mobilized to do this because they don't want to vote on Dream act bills. The discharge petition already included the two bills they want to put to a vote.
Look up the rules.

Appropriations and a new spending bill are being finished and good luck with that

so I am guessing this is a "fool me twice, you fuck up" deal? Like a second consecutive CR fight during Trump's administration would be a disaster so WH has to compromise? God knows who is going to replace Paul Ryan.

Here’s the issue, yes the House bill isn’t the greatest, in reality we should all understand that we are not going to get everything we want.

However, here is Chuck already derailing one of our possible last chances this year at coming to a solution and the guy has done nothing to help our cause. If Chuck really cared about us so much like he says he does then why did he sell us out during the shutdown?

All this talk about “doing the right thing” is coming from a guy that literally said that “WE CAN NOT TAKE THE WHOLE STAGE” at a time when we need him the most.

they don't cooperate here because they want something else, but of course everyone has a different opinion on what is good for themselves.
