yeah, Kennedy wasn't a left winger... he sided with the liberal side on some rulings but he wasn't exactly Eleanor Roosevelt... In terms of DACA, it was still likely going to be a 5-4 ruling, but there was always a 1% chance he might vote in favor of it, but obviously now it's going to be nearly impossible.

I wonder what this does to the timing the DACA case... maybe it buys everyone a few more weeks.

Anything under the Republican brand will affect the nation, but it’s like the saying goes, elections have consequences and unfortunately this is what America wanted.

I just didn’t understand all of the love for Kennedy all of a sudden when clearly he’s been siding with Trump on every issue. Kennedy was not going to be our DACA savior. His retirement will simply take us from bad to worse, and that’s sad.

Turtle went nuclear with SCOTUS vote on Gorsuch, democrats have no say in this process. scotus vote will be scheduled this fall before Nov election. Turtle wont take any chance just in case GOP looses senate. he is a shrewd politician.

I can see more scotus vacancies coming up before 2020 and if Senate remain in Republican hands progressive agenda is royally screwed. anyways both party will use scotus seats to stir the pot. Nov election will be interesting so will be 2020.

why in the fuck would you want them to delay the daca ruling even more.
that's the only hope of something getting done.

The issue here is that Dems are not likely to give concessions at all prior to 2020, assuming everyone renewed and most are safe to 2020. They wont care about a few ones who might expire a little bit before 2020.

the only hope of anything getting done in timely fashion is if the daca ruling came right around fucking yesterday. by tommorow, by today, is late.
it would've forced the retards in office to finally sit down and compromise because neither party is willing to weather the absolute shitstorm that would happen otherwise.

it's always some fucking thing that pushes this to the side.

Facts. Count any Dem running in 2020 as a no vote for any bill that includes wall funding.
