It was pretty unpleasant lol.. Barely made it through the Forge.. 11 weeks of isolation.. I dunno how to describe it, but it's over now lol. AIT is much more bearable. Unless you're 88H and you come to where you do AIT for 88H.. then it's still pretty unpleasant.. LOL

News been going around regarding some MAVNIs, those who have not been shipped to BCT, are being discharged and are not being told why.

How can I check to see if I'm still a recruit?

Family day at Leonard Wood, great to see you guys that survived it since we all shipped around the same time. My platoon was ran by hardcore infantry DS and 1 out of 4 guys dropped out due to injuries lol. I'm still here standing, ready to go to AIT. Good luck on rest of the journey until we're home guys.

Congrats to everyone that made it! I'm counting down until I get to Ft Benning.

If anyone here gets stationed in the same place, let's grab a drink

Congratulations to those who have completed the BCT! What would you say the hardest part about BCT? How can one beat prepare for it physically? Would y'all say run?

Practice proper pushups and situps atleast get to 50 count on both without struggling. Run helps too... remember it's all a mindgame apft is the only thing that matters

IMO pushups and situps are easy to build on, but if you're not a runner start doing a lot of short sprints to build your stamina. (30 sec sprint, 60 sec walk, repeat x5, then move on to 60/90)

For especially the older folks, knowing your body limits and when to dial back is the key. We had way too many injuries in our company due to stress fractures and whatnot.

The Army is going to tell you to go 100% everytime because we're just numbers to them, but yeah, apply risk management.
