I assume all will end at fiscal year 2019 if it pass. The amendment said DHS cannot use the funding in this bill to "arrest, detain, and remove", if they approve additional for 2020, then I think we all lost protection if nothing pass.

The biggest takeaway here is that it legalizes deca implicitly.

The protections would run out on Sept. 30, 2019. I'm guessing we could all renew by then and outlast Trump!

Trump will get reelected

I'd still prefer the cure to my IBS over any legal status.

The projections say that the economy will slow down next year due to the feds raising interest rates and a lack of qualified workers... this will all happen just in time for the 2020 elections.

"The House Appropriations Committee approved an amendment by Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.) to their fiscal 2019 Homeland Security spending bill that would bar Immigrations and Customs Enforcement from detaining or deporting undocumented immigrants under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program who retain their eligibility for the program by maintaining a clean criminal record. The provision would protect the so-called Dreamers from the threat of deportation for the fiscal year from Oct. 1 though Sept. 30, 2019."

Better than nothing.

Hope it sticks with the final bill.

Ah, ok. Thank you for highlighting that. I thought we were already considered low priority. Not sure what other benefit this adds.
