I am currently in the process of buying a home in NYC with my brother (he has a GC). I've had no problems regarding status and acquiring a mortgage. The broker just wanted me to provide my ss and a copy of my most up to date EAD. He also said he's done mortgages for people with DACA and has had not problems with the banks. As long as you are in good financial standing and have a job where you can pay back that mortgage, there shouldn't be any hiccups.

And it's always lovely to know fellow DACA recipients are building their futures.

Good Luck! I hope you find someone to assist you in this endeavor and it works out.

I just bought my house in March. Brand new 225k in Tx with a 3.8%. My loan officer was DACA friendly and he has connections in Chicago. Let me know if your serious.

Hi there, I’m definitely serious! I’m looking for help with DACA friendly lenders, brokers, etc. I’m trying to get the lowest interest I can.

Pretty ballsy move buying a house when you're DACA.

What’s so ballsy about that? The same can be said about buying a car with DACA. If we can’t make payments on either of those things the bank will take it away.

Yeah but with a house you typically need 10-20% down. Given how you’re typically paying down the interest before you start paying down the principal - that means that in case of a forced foreclosure sale you’ll come out losing everything you’ve put into the house...

I’m still curious though, are DACA recipients able to get a loan through a credit union?
