Do it in Jan. I can’t wait. Those who wants to keep DACA until 2020, don’t get ahead of yourself. we need that urgency. We are relevant for anfew months because we got kicked in the head last year.

lmao. Pack your fucking bags is what you need to do. What a goddamn delusional joke some of you are telling as if this "new" urgency is going to make anything happen. Didn't happen last year, hasn't happened in the last decade.

Seriously just self deport at this point.

If there is so much urgency for you, this might be the way to go.

I think we can all agree that an urgency currently exists, especially if we consider the psychological anguish of waiting in uncertainty. Unfortunately, jwxie518 addresses the crude reality of why both Democrats and Republicans struggle to reach a narrow deal. From a GOP perspective, why settle for a narrow deal when Trump can really corner Democrats later and get his 4 pillars. From a Dem perspective, why make any major concessions and piss off our base when Dreamers are protected now (i.e. no urgency). Both are engaged in a delay game to see whose demands are fully met. A fucked up game of chess.

My fear is SCOTUS kills DACA. Then Trump agrees to DACA legislation but demands 4 pillars. Democrats don’t reduce legal migration just for DACA, but demand now CIR. Republicans refuse and nothing gets done while DACA ceases to exist and since Trump will probably win in 2020. Presidents for 2024 talk about bringing DACA back.

There is urgency. Another person just died in detention last week at NWDC. It's not just about Dreamers. It's that there is no reason to delay fixing the system when lives are at risk.

Democrats cannot claim to be for human and labor rights while working to keep the status quo.

Even if SCOTUS kills DACA, I would not be surprised if Dems refuse to compromise with Trump. They will not give Trump his 4 pillars bullshit. Plus, I think it’s to be expected that any 2020 candidate in the senate will vote no on anything that funds the wall. But I’m ok with SCOTUS killing DACA so all of these desperate fucks on here suffer.

How about you take your blue hat off for a second and actually read what I said. You want to wait until 2024? Sure.
Kill daca and we have an outcry. If we do, and we get the fix, don't apply. Bitch.
