House Democrats’ border barrier/wall offer is PATHETIC.

I hoped that Democrats would make good faith effort to strike a deal on border barrier/wall, DACA, and TPS.

Unfortunately, it seems they hate @realDonaldTrump more than they want to solve problems.

Republicans need to get behind President Trump emergency declaration to build wall/barrier.

Looking like he has no other option.

wtf, why can't Dems offer citizenship for us for 5.7 billion, that's nothing, at least make Trump say no.

Dems gain nothing if they offer and they will get blamed for supporting illegals.

Exactly the moment the democrats begin negotiations firsts including daca bam the entire shutdown will be shift to them like last time. Are the redhats here forgetting how trump couldn’t stop tweeting how the democrats shut down the government for daca ( illegal aliens )?

Negotiations should start the moment trump brings to the table a permanent path for daca. Even then the democrats need to be careful because trump is just unpredictable and changes his mind by dinner.

Can you tell me why the Dems can't offer up a bill that includes wall money and citizenship for Dreamers? I am not entirely convinced people will start blaming them for causing a shutdown.

We're out of a shutdown. Trump's only demand is wall for his wall. So why can't the Dems pass that sort of wall/daca bill (which they can with a majority power) and then push it down the throats of Trump and Mcconnell? Say "here is your wall money..you either take it or take the country to another shutdown". The next shutdown won't be Dems fault bc they actually worked to meet his demand.

I would take it one step further and say Dems just don't want to give Trump a victory on the wall. Period.

I think at this point, the Dems are in way over their head and being cocky about it. They decided giving Trump zero victory is better than pushing for Dreamer/wall legislation which they KNOW they can pass in the House if they tried.

Remember, Trump only asked for his wall money. He'll single handedly be blamed for the next shutdown if he rejects that proposal.
