Coulter is one of the reasons for this lmao. She has no understanding for policy or else she would've told him to not shut down the government in the first place. They literally shutdown the government for nothing and got a worse deal than before. There's a reason these people peddle snake oil instead of becoming real doctors. Coulter has hurt the president tremendously along with other TV & radio personalities.

It's too late, Congress will pass the law and that's the end of that.

I think our chances just got a lot better. Just wondering what Nancy's game is with her bringing DA up for a vote. I don't get it.

I believe he can still veto it though. And then congress would have to revote

I am inclined to agree. Congress has shown real partisanship and enough to override a presidential veto. The republicans are way more immigrant friendly in the Senate and you throw in the fact that Trump is about to hurt them... it's going to be interesting.

Let's see how things play out.

Yeah true, but that means government is shutdown, something Trump wants to avoid. You veto something with such strong support it's going to be bad.

Trump has bad options. He is actually pushed to sign the bill, agreeing that in the bill you need permission from the local community to build the wall. I don't think many local communities want the wall so the wall might not even be built. On top of that, he wants to declare national emergency to get the funding and even if he wins, the wall might not be built because again, you need permission from the local community. He's going to go nuclear, try to get bags of money for a wall but then no community wants to build it. Signing the bill undermines his ability to have a valid national emergency declaration in the first place.

Whoever his advisors are, he needs to stop listening to them and fire them. This is actually the worst deal I've seen that I can remember.

So the bill with $1.3b border security bill passed, and he's planning to nab $8b from the DoD using a national emergency? Am I getting this right?

The bill would literally require communities the right to chose to give up property for border wall

Most of the border is in republican states, you think these places will bend down pull their pants down for trump and say “sure take millions of our acres!!”
