Now, the process itself doesn’t guarantee that there will be a floor debate or even a vote on the Dream and Promise Act. It remains to be seen what the turtle is planning to do
so Mcconnell said one thing but did the opposite???

A lot of my friends messaged me about this bill passing and I had to explain to them how it was never going to pass in the Senate.

LOL. NO ONE will convince him of that. Please. We are better off having his twin brother from the Hannibal movie run the Senate.

The play here for McConnell (if he wants to be partisan and political) would be to just amend the dream act with Miller's wishlist, pass it in the senate but keep the title "dream act", throw it back to the house and say "hey democrats, don't you want to help the dreamers?" knowing it won't pass the house but he can bash dems for not helping dreamers.

How much the senate amends the dream act is the question. Is it Miller's wishlist? Is it something more reasonable that dems will actually pass in the house? Only time will tell.

The turtle is only following Trump's orders now. If Trump told him to vote on it, he would do it in a heartbeat. In other words, we don't need the bill to go to Trump in order to know that he's against it.

Why would it be a surprise to you if Trump vetoes that? It’s a Clean DA bill with no border security. Forget about Trump, even the Democrats (who passed it in the House) don’t want it to be signed into law. That’s why they passed this stupid worthless bill. Try to see out of the box. Actually just get rid of the box and realize this is a vote grabbing ploy by Democrats. And this would never pass the Senate any way, there’s no 60 solid yes votes.
