I don't know about that. One party literally campaigned on anti-immigration.

There definitely will be urgency but the only thing good on the republican side is maybe Graham will put in a good word for dreamers. Other than that, maybe Kushner will put in a good word also but he's not knowledgeable in the matter. Besides that, there's nothing and there are multiple people working against Graham and Kushner. Honestly it's not a lot to go on.

If we're talking Goodlatte bill or similar, it didn't extend DACA. It's a completely new program that not all current DACA holders are eligible for and it's non-renewable. It is by no means a DACA extension.
As far as illegal immigration is concerned, dreamers are pretty much in the "one of the good ones" category in the views of some avg conservatives. Public support is high even from the racists because we're "one of the good ones". So looking good right now, is basically NOT looking like an asshole. Trump hasn't touched DACA after saying he was gonna cancel it day one, and would've probably left us alone if not for cock-eyed Paxton. I feel like now that SC has taken the case, Hanen will make another excuse to kick the can down the road or just do nothing again like last time. My only regret was I think I sent in my renewal too early and will probably lose a good 4 months . Goddam Hanen keeps spooking mah shiet.

They won't but they usually get your biometrics a couple weeks after they receive your case. The point is do finish the biometrics and have your case in the queue. They are less likely to now renew you if they already withdrew the renewal fee from your account since you paid for it already. You can send it a year and a half early, and get your biometrics done and renewal fee charged, and just wait as it sits in the queue until your 150 days mark. If it's crunch time, it's worth a shot to have it in the queue if things don't look good. The only con is you'd probably lose about 4 months.

Obviously if they end DACA, it's because they got something else that gives us a path to USC.
