Hence why the Feds deport illegals...I don't see what point you're trying to get at.

It doesn't matter what's legal or illegal in your state. If you're dealing with the Feds, you have to go by their rules. If they say marijuana is illegal and you admit to smoking it, they will deny you whatever benefit it is you're applying for.

Why did he have to go back to Mexico for his perm. residency? I heard you only need to do that if you actually swam across.

He probably entered illegally and had to file a waiver of inadmissibility, which means he had to leave the U.S and apply through the consulate.

That’s exactly what happened. This is why AP was an important aspect of daca. It allowed recipients to enter the county back legally. When adjusting what matter is your entry it can determine everything

I have not even looked at my Visa. My parents won’t let me even look at it. It’s under their care.
