It might be fear mongering but a vast majority of y'all also live with your heads buried in the sand. Are they deporting DACA recipients? Yes. Will they increase enforcement with reckless abandonment? Yes.

If SCOTUS allows the cancellation, ICE may not come to your house to pick you up but it may embolden police at simple things like traffic stops to use secure communities more vigorously.

It might feel nice and warm that you feel like DACA gives you some sort of protection (when it says that it can be revoked without cause) but ask any African American, when you're going your way and law enforcement wants to exercise their power, they will.

I hope this will prompt Chief Justice Roberts to change his vote for us if it wasn't, the same he did for ObamaCare
Quote:
Some justices were not convinced that sending the case back to the lower courts would make any difference, and Justice Neil Gorsuch observed that a do-over would take six more years, during which DACA recipients would remain in limbo.

Why would it take 6 years now?

The supreme Court will come thru for us. Doesn't mean Donnie can't end DACA properly though. He'll just go back and do the process properly.

Nobody can stop him, not the courts, not Congress.

Best place for them to start the deporations is California, Texas, New York, Florida, DACAs in other places are reasonably safe.

All the six DACAs in Alaska are probably laughing their socks off.

Read the article. Just sounds like a dude celebrating DACA will be over. Nothing new. We all know we are done if DACA ends and is not replaced.

DACA will be replaced by legislation though. He can cheer all he wants, but we will be okay one way or another. No way is Trump foolish though to set up his own October surprise.

Deporting DACAs might get a minority of his base hard but most of his base won't like the optics of deporting us. Add on top of that that Dems will be under pressure to save our asses or face the wrath of the Dem base for failing to protect us.

I'm not worried, DACA is meant to die eventually. Gone but not forgotten.

It still doesn’t sound normal to me. I think you should ban opinion articles from News section. Deportation of DACA recipients has begun? Makes no sense.
