Then the person filing with a SSN will get it and the ITIN won't.

I think they made the right choice. There is a lot of fraud in the immigrant community when it comes to tax filing. I know of so many that claim dependents in Mexico, and they pay zero taxes when here I am paying a lot of taxes as a single person.

How would that work? They look at the married couple's income bucket as a whole. How would they go about bifurcating the SSN spouse from the ITN one? They look at MFJ as one entity.

Damn, that would hurt a lot of people
Yeah, my parents. ... Dad has SSN and mom has ITN. In addition, dad was told to stay at home with no pay since Cuomo ordered shelter-in-place in NY. Oh yeah, they live in NYC.

I lucked out as well. I haven't filed my 2019 return yet but I switched jobs in December 2018. Signing bonus at the new firm puts me just a hair above $99k.

This is the chance for liberals to bite the hand, throw the Trump check away. Better yet sign it and send it to my po box for disposal.

Watch 99.9% of eligible liberals accept it.

I don’t understand this logic. This socialist giveaway is backed by all the taxpayers in the US (liberal, conservative, republican, democrat) . All have an equal claim to it.

If anything, it’s the hard core conservatives that should avoid this socialist money giveaway like a “plague”.
