Submit it. Your petition under a preference category will take a little bit of time to be approved anyway, so get it in.

Hi all,
I hope everyone and your families are safe and healthy.
I just read an update that healthcare, agricultural, food, and just about other essential workers will likely be exempt from this.

Why not just create a legalization program for 'essential' workers in the U.S.???

How would they classify healthcare or agricultural immigrants unless you specifically have a visa for that field? Said differently, there are plenty DACA users who are healthcare providers... what happens to them?

MORE IMPORTANTLY: the key is if this only applies to new requests or renewals..

Essential workers are not anymore special so put aside with this attempt to further divide Dreamers as those who are more worthy than others to get a special pass. It's bad enough that there are thousands of dreamers who didn't get DACA; We don't need the "super-DACA vs. regular-DACA"

President Donald Trump said Tuesday his forthcoming executive order barring new immigration will apply only to people seeking green cards, last 60 days and won't affect workers entering the country on a temporary basis.

I read while doing some quick browsing that this will only apply to those applying for a green card externally (outside of the US) and will not apply to those applying internally (within the US). I lost the source.

Can anyone confirm?

Are you talking to me?
I hope you are not talking to me. For one, I am a Dreamer who aged out of Daca. Secondly, essential workers under this situation illustrate the urgency to pass and implement a legalization program for public health, economic health, and for infrastructure development. I was wishing for the undocumented community at large.

My point is that right now all of society is running on the backs of these groups of workers.
