I agree, I want to move beyond DACA and not have the "status-quo", we need the support behind pushing for a resolution through congress and a path to citizenship. The support can't be just for status-quo protections. DACA was a great first step for us but we are all older now and need to move forward so we can travel freely, and full fill the rest of our live desires, etc.

The average American house hold make about 40-55k nationwide. When you say cheap labor I'm thinking a hourly wage under $20 per hour. A lot of DACA recipients coming out of college are making at least 40k starting salary. I don't see where you're getting cheap labor from. We get paid just as much as a citizen in the workforce. Probably more than those that need sponsorship too.

Honestly DACA vs nothing at all, DACA is better it's not ideal but it's still better. Like yes, I want some form of Dream Act to pass but lets not pretend that there's only 2 scenarios this can lead to:
1. Congress does nothing and we all fall out of status.
2. Republicans get all the leverage in the world and we'll get some form of the Shitlatte bill (4 pillars for fucking Bridge Act). Don't cry in 3 years when you expire.

I mean for real...what's going to happen if Trump wins? Wouldn't you have to logically cave in and work towards a compromise or will we have to wait another 4 damn years until a "democrat president comes to give green cards to all." People need to be realistic and work with who is in control right now....

Flipside is that if Dems win, GOP will want Hispanic vote in future and be willing to legalize us.

DACA is not going to be going away. That is for sure 100%. The WH immediately issued that "no amnesty" statement in order to calm down the main Trump supporters. You gotta like try to think out of the box. The admin is clearly trying to amass support on both sides. They seem to have launched a significant initiative to gain hispanic support (This Goya CEO event...plus this right herehttps://www.whitehouse.gov/president...ty-initiative/ as well as this DACA comments..they are all part of the same initiative.

The term that applies more here is "magical thinking". Me, I'll believe it when I'll see it with my own two eyes. Right now what I'm seeing right now is a fat goldfish flopping around hoping that FL doesn't flip back blue.

Would you rather the WH say that the admin order “will include amnesty.”? Why you sellin yourself short...this is not amnesty, it’s earned road towards legalization. Nothing wrong with what the WH said..for sure there will be no amnesty. They are trying to get a message across to their main supporters that this is not “amnesty” that’s all.. I’m seeing a lot of positives and things to look forward to from where I am.
