I think what will end up delaying this, it’s gonna be the amount of people who will flood to the border trying to get in claiming asylum. A couple of caravans are waiting for Biden to be sworn in to make their trip.

Ah yes, the caravan that was walking for all of 2016, disappeared in early 2017 when Trump took office, and reappeared in early 2020 before the coronavirus took the front of the stage where it once again vanished without a trace.

Really patient fuckers.

No, Dems had 60 senate seats and control of the house. They did not want it to pass but they wanted to make a show of going through the motions for the Latino votes. That backfired because they lost control of the senate during the midterms and did not get it back until 2020.

This is exactly why I would be happy inshrining daca into law. That at the very least we would have guaranteed protection rather than live at the whims of the others. And that is an easy pill to swallow for most republicans since it wont shift the balance of votes.

Citizenship is too divisive of an issue and is used to kill most immigration deal. Thanks UWD
