they should consider adding a fine to the process of applying for a GC if you have DACA/TPS. not that I want us to have to pay fines. but it could just make the argument stronger for us to get a relief and get support from some republicans.

We will need a little more than that which I am confident we can get. There will most likely be about 5-7 Dems who are not sure Yes voters, most likely the blue dog dems like Manchin.

That's by attaching the immigration bill to something else, correct?

Also, I have nothing against TPS but DACA should be treated independently. They're completely different programs. DACAers know one country only.

UPDATE: Who cares at the end of the day, right? Just get us all GCs.

If the Democrats have the true intention of getting something passed...they will do that if its possible, end of story. They've got control of WH, Senate and House. No is not an answer now. This has to be done this year. Immigration Reform must pass this year.
