I know the Dream was introduced with the CIR in 2007... and it failed because the CIR failed. However, Dream was introduced in previous years and was voted on... but what stopped it from becoming law?

If we figure out the reasons we can stop the Dream from failing another year. Does anyone know the reasons why exactly?

It didn't fail, it was just never brought up for a vote.

yup, never scheduled for a floor vote (well, it was but Frist then changed his mind and never brought it up).

It's weird to see posts of when Dream was going to be attached to DoD and how pumped up people were. I've been seeing many of the people return that hadn't posted since then...

Don't worry, the same people that are absent now are the ones that never did anything in the first place, with the exception of a few members who stopped posting simply because they don't have time to answer all the nonsense.

It only appears that people were pumped up because all those too lazy to call or watch CSPAN for themselves kept wanting to be updates as to what happened. That's why some of us come down a little hard on people asking questions, not because we don't like them but because it gets tiresome.

I just hate freeloaders, that's all.

Since this is under "taking action" I have a question - there were so many good ideas before when people were all pumped up -- things like e-mailing educaters, etc... does anyone know if there are master lists, letters etc. that can be easily found and re-posted ? For example I dug up the "gods army" post just because I happened to remember it, but I know there were other great ideas (and it was only like two weeks ago or something )......So maybe if the people who have that info could bump it up so it could be acted on ? Just a thought.

Quaker has the master educator list, it couldn't hurt to try to expand it I guess.
