I am also not traveling much this year. It's too risky plus I am trying to save more money.
I live in a primarily white city that isn't targeted by ICE. I work remotely and that's less time being outside.

Don't live in fear, because you have nothing to fear. If you have DACA or status you can walk freely down any street and even past ICE. They might grab you for being brown, but you otherwise have nothing to fear. They will let you go.

I went to Chicago, Atlanta Airport, Detroit airport.
Went to a hispanic shop, spoke spanish in public.
Flew on a plane 4 times.
Don't really have opportunity to talk about immigration, frankly I feel tired of the entire situation.

It is safe to be outside and in public. You will be okay. I went around in the chicago suburbs and was even warned by the locals that ICE was there but none were found by me.

Relax people. If you have DACA or status you will be okay. Stop the fear. I actually want to get in ICEs way and make them waste their time on me. Didn't find any unfortunately. It was a massive disappointment not to find any, they apparently like to play games with DACA.

^Until they force you to unlock your phone and go through your data and social media and label you an enemy of the US and get you on a plane to El Salvador.

All my sensitive communications go though my desktop pc. And I only have Twitter, but I never say anything on it. Stop the fear mongering.

They can only check your phone on arrival departure international flights. There is no forcing me. Will simply refuse. Forcing me will earn them a big fat lawsuit.

They can't make you unlock phones on the street anymore than a common thug can. They can try to verbally intimidate you, but you can just not unlock it lol.

Don't know what else they can do. They can try violence on you, but that's an even bigger lawsuit.

Stop living in fear people. What is even the point of living if you have to live in fear and hide about and scurry about.

You're an idiot

Oh i went to chicago suburbs, everywhere is safe. Derp.

You stupid MF

I live in chicago suburbs.

Imagine you go for a quick morning coffee leaving your EAD at the hotel room or wherever. ICE stops you, now guess what--you're charged with Federal Misdemeanor for not having your EAD with you.

Even if you have your EAD/DACA doc with you, the agent don't believe they are legit, now guess what--you're going to ICE detention center. And could be months before you're let out. That is after thousands spent on finding a lawyer. Oh yeah good luck finding an immigration attorney in today's climate.

Months in ICE detention center--the damage will be done! You're fired from your job, missed payments, fed arrest record on your file!

-Lolz I live in NYC.
-The not speaking foreign language in public is too much.
- The not flying I agree with.
-I have never told anyone I have DACA. I know it’s not good but I am extremely embarrassed about it.

Honestly the only thing that can help you is if you can pass for white.

I don’t think it is fear mongering when even citizens have been detained and then let go days later or lawmakers arrested and manhandled by ICE agents. Just better to be safe than sorry. You can get kidnapped by some ICE agents wearing masks who refuse to identify themselves and next you thing you know you are on a flight being not even deported but sent to El Salvador or God knows what country that isn’t even your country of origin.

Also, news came out today that Trump’s DOJ will be actively looking to denaturalize and revoke people’s citizenships.
