The point is to make it so bad in there that you will voluntarily sign to leave just to get out of there. Same tactic they use to get convictions out of innocent people to shorten how long they are held in jail awaiting trial so they can get out on bond and return to their family.

You might say, but I didn't do a crime. In today's america just an accusation is enough for you to sit in prison/detainment thats basically still jail and then they wait until you break and sign whatever just to get out. They can get you to admit to crimes and then you are screwed.

There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them.
