Well, a man dying of thirst in the desert wouldn't turn down a glass of water because it's not Perrier. Sometimes you have to take what is being offered.

Also, once Congress votes on us, it will hopefully be easier for them the next time around.

Lastly, this all really depends on what they will want to put on the bill as add ons. We are naive if we think that Reps will vote on a clean Bridge Act with nothing of the things they want; they are going to want something for their base.

Who knows, I feel that the BRIDGE Act can pass without any compromise since it's basically just a legislated DACA. Now the DREAM ACT or RACA..those I feel will warrant some heavy compromise.

my POINT since you haven't been reading, is that this waters down our momentum and stifles the push for actual solutions. right after lindesy graham even contacted trump directly about negotiating the dream act, too.

I have been reading and it seems that you just want, want, WANT and refuse to see the opportunity you are being given. I guess we're all not privileged enough to have our permit expire in 2 years.

That's the only way we will get a real solution, piece by piece.
Question: Do you have Daca? When did you last apply/renew?

All over this forum I advocate as DreamAct as the first step towards immigration reform.

Daca is not legalization, so no, it is not the first step of immigration reform.

Off to contact my union and congress members. I suggest you do the same.
