Okay three questions:

1. If I want to send the applications (my sibling and I) through regular USPS mail- I can do first class with a manila envelopes OR first class with their flat rate envelopes right?

2. Is there any point of getting it certified if it's going to go to a P.O. box? I think I read on here about a couple people having trouble because they had asked for signature confirmation, and since their mail was sent to a P.O. box there wasn't anyone to sign. Should I even ask for certified?

3. How are you guys doing the two holes at the top? (I know this is stupid) I only have a 3-hole punch that I used for school.

I sent through regular USPS Priority Mail so

1. I'm sure you can send a manila envelope. However, since you're sending a lot of papers, it'll probably be cheaper to use their flat rate envelopes.

2. I didn't get it Certified, but I did use a Signature Confirmation Receipt and I didn't have problems with the signature. So I guess it's up to you, but I would strongly suggest you add some sort of confirmation service if you're not doing Certified.

3. For the two holes use one of these, I'm pretty sure you can use one at a FedEx Office, Office Depot, etc.

1. If you are planning on sending it First class, I recommend using their flat rate envelope for sure. Manila envelopes are not as sturdy as you think, and your packet may get damaged during the delivery. I did mine Priority mail flat rate and it cost about $6 regardless of the size of the packet, as long as it is less than 4 pounds. Their flat rate envelope/boxes are free, so it's not a bad deal.

2. Certifying the mail gives you a tracking number so you know when your package arrives, and it costs additional $3. I heard some have had troubles because USPS wasn't updating the info regularly, but I did certify mine for my sanity. I also did a return receipt (additional $3)...it's that green card that they were supposed to sign and send back to you when they get your packet....and I got it back today on the mail. If you want to be sure that your packet arrives there on time, and safely, I would suggest the two.

3. Most 3-hole punches can be adjusted to 2-hole punches. Check the back (or the bottom) of yours and see if it does that....you might have to play around with it a little bit.

Good luck!

I have a question. If we hole punch all the papers what about the official Transcripts inside the envelope. What do we do with those?

some people that have been nice enough to post pictures on this thread have paper clipped them somewhere on their package.

Cool thanks, I just checked right now. I will not hole punch them. Instead I will use tabs paper clipped to each exhibit. Either way they will check them whether they are hole punched or not.

For those who have Mexican birth certificates--you know how long they are! Did you copy it with legal paper or down-sized it and used standard paper?

Go to Office depot and get them to make a copy without enlarging or shrinking it.
